PERLIS STATE PARK was introduced in year 2000. It is situated in the west border of  PERLIS where the MALAYSIAN PENINSULAR meets THAILAND with an area of more than 5,000 hector. The park is situated on the longest lime stone mountain in MALAYSIA known as Nakawan Range. Nakawan Range is known for its step cleaves and deep forest with many rivers and long natural caves. The longest cave in PENINSULAR MALAYSIA which is 3.8 km long is situated in the park. The forest here is unique and special including "HUTAN MERANTI GERUTU" that consists of seasonal trees that fall its leaves at a certain particular time of the year. The lime stone forest has many herbal plants which include many species not found else where in MALAYSIA.It is also the only place where MACACA ARTOIDES MONKEY (BERUK KENTOI) can be found.
